BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – Argentina will gradually loosen a lockdown in and around capital city Buenos Aires, President Alberto Fernndez said on Friday, after tougher restrictions since the start of July helped slow the spread of new COVID-19 infections.
Argentina has a total of 114,783 cases, with 2,133 deaths, according to the latest official data. Infections have risen sharply in recent months, though remain much lower than the case loads in some of its South American neighbors.
