BLACKBERRY TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating an accident in Itasca County Wednesday afternoon on Highway 2.
Authorities say 24 year old Brienne Regan Brodie of Duluth was killed when the eastbound vehicle she was driving crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a westbound vehicle in Blackberry Township.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 57 year old Grand Rapids woman, is hospitalized in Duluth with life threatening injuries.
The State Patrol says Brodie was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
