UNDATED (KDAL) – Lake Superior water levels continue to decline but remain well above the long term average.
The International Lake Superior Board of Control says the lake was down by 3.9 inches last month but is still 7.1 inches above average and the risk of high water impacts remain.
The lake is also 8 inches below the level of a year ago at this time and is expected to continue its seasonal decline in February.
