CLOQUET, MN (CBS-3) – Police are looking for a Cloquet man involved in two shootings that happened in the early morning hours of Monday.
Officers responded to the first shooting at 227 Scotty Drive in Cloquet around midnight. Reports say no one was injured in that incident.
A short time later a second shooting was reported at 973 Ozhigaw Road in Cloquet where police found a 27-year-old male from Cloquet with a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was brought to a local hospital in Duluth.
Police have identified the suspect in connection with both shootings and have issued an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Nicholas Joseph Ammesmaki for 1st Degree Assault and other charges.
According to the report, Ammesmaki was last seen leaving the scene in a 2003 silver Pontiac Bonneville with MN license DWL944.
If you have any information about Ammesmaki’s whereabouts you are asked to call 911.
Ammesmaki is considered to be armed and dangerous.
