SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The new season of River Talks begin Wednesday with a tour of the environmental improvements on Barker’s Island in Superior.
The tour will describe new projects designed to control storm water runoff and to prevent pollution on the island.
Those attending the 5 p-m event should meet at the marina’s Ship Store for a round trip walk that ends at 6 p-m and includes time for a question and answer session.
In case of rain, presentations will be made in the Lake Superior Estuarium.
River Talks are sponsored by the National Estuarine Reserve and the Wisconsin Sea Grant Programs.
