ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – New figures from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) shows the unemployment rate dropping to 2.2 percent in April.
It is down from 2.5 percent in March and is the lowest ever recorded since reports began in 1976.
In Wisconsin the April unemployment rate remained steady at a record 2.8 percent and nationally the rate stayed at 3.6 percent.
The Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Statistical Area showed an over-the-year employment gain of 2.4 percent.
