SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Superior Police Chief Nicholas Alexander has announced his retirement effective at the end of January.
Alexander joined the Superior Police Department in 1998 and held several roles including Captain of Investigations before being named as Chief in 2015.
During his time as Chief, the department has seen significant advances in progressive law enforcement, community oriented programs and the implementation of body worn cameras by officers.
Chief Alexander also began the Pathways to Hope, a groundbreaking program on how law enforcement responds to addiction related crimes and supports the individual’s recovery.
Mayor Jim Paine says Alexander’s retirement will be a real loss for Superior and is grateful for his years of service.
