DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The new pedestrian bridge over I-35 in Duluth is expected open by 5 p-m on Saturday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says work on the structure is complete but due to a material delay, an ornamental metal railing will not be installed until next spring.
Until then, a temporary fence will be in place through the winter months.
The bridge, just south of Mesaba Avenue, replaces the previous structure as part of a statewide project to replace aging bridge infrastructure.
