UNDATED (KDAL) – In December, water levels on Lake Superior dropped by 4.7 inches compared to a normal decline of 3.2 inches for the month.
The International Lake Superior Board of Control says water levels remain well above average and the risk of high water impacts will continue.
At the beginning of January, Lake Superior is 8.3 inches above the long term average but 6.3 inches below what it was a year ago.
