SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The Twin Ports chapter of the Transportation Research Forum has been launched by the UWS Transportation and Logistics Management faculty.
The local chapter is the first to be located outside a major metropolitan area and was formed because of the significance of the Duluth-Superior Port and its related transportation businesses in the area.
The forum will give area researchers, academics and students access to an exchange of information through international, national and local meetings and speakers.
Besides the Twin Ports, other Transportation Research Forums are located in Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., St. Louis and the Twin Cities.
There are also chapters in South Korea and Panama.
