UNDATED (KDAL) – According to the Rocket Homes and BestPlaces.net websites, Duluth is the best place in the Midwest to have a Winter Wonderland experience this holiday season.
The rankings were based in part on average snowfall between November 1st and December 31st, winter recreation resources and nearby forests and parks.
The Duluth area ranks in the top 4 percent for nearby forests and parks, averages about two feet of snow during the holiday months and has a slew of special events including the Christmas City of the North Parade, the Bentleyville Tour of Lights and the Duluth Winter Village.
Besides Duluth, Rapid City, South Dakota, Bloomington, Minnesota, Cleveland, Ohio and Muskegon, Michigan round out the Midwest Top Five.
