DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Blue Heron research vessel will be open to the public for a free “Science on Deck” event from 11 a-m to 3 p-m on Friday.
The scientists and staff of the UMD Large Lakes Observatory will feature a presentation about the Surface Water and Ocean Topography satellite that looks at nearly all the water on the surface of the earth.
The presentation begins at 1:30 and those attending can interact with graduate students working on fresh water research.
The Blue Heron will be docked near the Great Lakes Aquarium on Harbor Drive.
