DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – An effort to clean up Duluth creeks and protect Lake Superior returns on Saturday with the 18th annual “Clean Yer Creek” event.
The spring tradition has volunteers removing trash and debris from six area creeks. They include Keene, Merritt, Miller, Chester, Lester and Kingsbury Creeks.
Volunteer registration at each of the sites begins at 9:30 a-m, cleanup runs from 10 a-m to 1 p-m and then after parties will be held at the Lake Superior Zoo, Wild State Cider, Bent Paddle Taproom and Lake Superior Brewing.
Volunteers get a complimentary beverage and discounted food options at the after parties.
Those participating should wear appropriate outerwear for the weather and rain boots if necessary. Plastic gloves, bags, litter pickers and other equipment will be provided.
