ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The first phase of a new electronic licensing system for anglers, hunters and trappers has been launched by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
The new system will allow for the purchase of a license online, through an app or in-person from an license agent.
Besides the usual paper license, it can be stored on your cell phone and harvests can be registered remotely.
The new system can be accessed at mndnr.gov/buyalicense.
The DNR will be taking public feedback on the new system and make necessary refinements.
In the future, recreational vehicle and watercraft titling and registration may be added to the electronic system.
