DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The final month of campaigning for the upcoming November elections is underway.
The St. Louis County Public Works Department and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) are reminding political candidates and supporters about where signs are not allowed.
Any advertisements, including political signs, are not to be placed on highway right-of-ways, shoulders, ditches or sight corners at intersections. Signs are not allowed on public utility poles, trees or private property without the owners consent.
The Public Works and MnDOT staff will remove any signs that are illegally placed.
Confiscated signs can be retrieved at the County maintenance garage serving their area or contact the nearest MnDOT office.
